Many people wonder what to expect when they come to a church for the first time.
When you come to Gordon Road Evangelical Church, you receive a friendly welcome and a hymn book. When you enter the church, you can choose where you would like to sit.
During the service, we sing reverent hymns of worship, pray together, and listen to straightforward Bible teaching. At the end we sing a hymn and finish with a short prayer.
There is no dress code. There are no reserved seats, just sit wherever you feel comfortable. If you don’t have a Bible, do not worry, we have them available at the church. We use the King James Version, but you are also welcome to bring along your own Bible.
Refreshments are served following most evening services. We can take time to get to know one another better and share our news and concerns.
On the 2nd Sunday evening and the 4th Sunday morning of the month we hold Communion for believers.
